Life Below Water. The goal is to conserve and sustainably use the world’s oceans, seas and marine resources. The 14th sustainable development goal (sdg14) aims at cutting marine pollution, restoring and conserving marine and coastal areas and ecosystems, ending unsustainable fishing practices, and improving the management of marine resources, to ensure both economic benefits for all and the protection of seas and oceans.

Agricultural runoff and sewage flowing into the ocean create areas of low oxygen, dubbed “dead zones”. Healthy oceans and seas are essential to our existence.they cover 70 percent of our planet and we rely on them for food, energy and water. The ocean provides natural resources including food, materials, substances, and energy.
